I mean the regularly updating ones, like Devious Dragons and The Dragons of Deviantart. I haven't seen anything of either of them for the past few months. I miss them, as it was nice to have some quality-screening in the big heaping mass of dragon art that gets submitted every week. I found lots of new artists through them, and I'd often pay more attention to them than my devWatch.

I think it's a little too early to declare both as dead (they'd have to go a full six months without updates for that to be reasonable) but I don't think it would be out of place at this point if someone were to start a new one. Perhaps I could start one.
It would have to be reasonably different from both, so that =tyshadragon and =ray72285 could pick up their articles again from where they left off without feeling that someone else is encroaching on their territory, but still be able to cover the vast variety of dragon art that gets submitted to this website. I thought about one that focuses on individual dragon characters, except that would exclude all the well-done generic dragons created and submitted, and I'm somewhat disenchanted with OCs in general. =ZhaKrisstol had something interesting going on based on color schemes. I'd like to try something similar to that, but different– my goal is to fulfill a niche that hasn't yet been explored.

So, any ideas? Since I paid for my sub myself this time, I may as well do something useful with it.
